A Flexible E-Book Display Fabricated on a Stainless-Steel-Foil Substrate

In October 2005, LG.Philips LCD and E Ink Corp. introduced a 10-in. SVGA reflective-type flexible active-matrix electrophoretic display that was successfully fabricated on a thin stainless-steel-foil substrate. This prototype has a true paper-like appearance and feel, is extremely thin and light in weight, and features a wide-viewing angle and high contrast ratio.
